Light Tackle: Year around

The fisheries inside and outside San Diego Bay are teaming with sand bass, barred bass, calico bass, spotted bass, barracuda and halibut. We do hook the occasional leopard shark and yellowtail. It’s a beautiful place to fish and enjoy your day while building long lasting memories with friends and family.

We fish both live bait and artificial. Live sardines are sourced from the bait barge daily and stored in our live well.

Fly Fishing:

Limited to 2-3 anglers.

My preferred method, but also the most challenging – Casting from the stern into the wind can be difficult.

If you’re proficient with a fly rod and want to go give it a shot then I can put you on fish. Finding fish under a kelp patty and using live bait to chum them up is very effective.
